Technical Details :
The fuse's role is to provide protection to an electrical circuit by being the weakest link. Responding to an over current situation, the current sensitive devise's fuse link will melt and safely interrupt the circuit. When selecting the appropriate fuse amperage, care must be taken to match the rating that best anticipates the possible current overload that can be expected while the circuit is in use.These PARTSMART quality fuses comply with major industrial standards and agency requirements such as: BS, IEC, DIN, UL, NEMA, SAE, CSA, CE, C-UL, etc. and are manufactured at facilities that are ISO 9000 certified.
These blade type fuses were introduced in the late '70s, and are still widely used by automotiveOEMs. They use universal color-coding for determining the amp rating. They also feature an enclosed element that provides protection against shocks and sparks as well as corrosion resistance for long service life.
Be sure to replace the fuse with the exact ampere rating as the original. REMEMBER: Use extreme caution when attempting to service or repair any electrical circuit.
